HISTORY OF ELF
A group of young consultants at Courtyard Group acknowledged that the healthcare community was lacking events and forums to support and nurture young healthcare professionals. The majority of existing associations and conferences were geared toward a more experienced management audience. To help remedy the situation, they wanted to create a forum that was not dominated by the opinions of senior leaders that were more established in the industry.
In May 2006, the first ELF meeting was held. Over 60 new members gathered at the Brassaii Bistro in downtown Toronto to hear Mr. Richard Alvarez, CEO of Canada Health Infoway, share some inspiring ideas. The rest is history!
