Guided Leadership Sessions

Guided Leadership Session - Leaders

On January 21st, 2009, 25 ELF members spent the evening sipping wine, eating hors d’oeuvres and getting “straight talk” from four senior Canadian healthcare leaders (from left to right in the picture above):

  • Ken Deane, ADM, Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
  • Catherine Zahn, Executive VP, Clinical Programs and Practices, UHN
  • Richard Alvarez, President & CEO, Canada Health Infoway
  • Matthew Morgan, Partner, Courtyard Group

The night was filled with passionate discussion about a wide range of topics, ranging from career advice to ideas on how to change the healthcare system.   Click here to read a recap of the Inaugural Guided Leadership Session.

What were your thoughts on the inaugural Guided Leadership Session?  How can we improve the event?

In the New Year, ELF will be hosting its inaugural Guided Leadership Session. The focus of the Guided Leadership Sessions is to offer our members a more personalized mentoring opportunity by engaging directly with established healthcare leaders in an informal setting. During this event, small groups of ELF members will have the opportunity to sip wine, munch on hors d’oeuvres and speak candidly with some of today’s prominent healthcare leaders. Some topics for discussion include:

  • How to brand yourself
  • How to create your best team
  • Leading start-ups vs. large organizations

Event Details:

Date:          Wednesday, January 21st, 2009
Time:         5:30pm to 7:30pm
Location:  Downtown Toronto

To maintain the small, interactive dynamic of the event, the first 25 people who RSVP will be registered!  Formal invitations and RSVP information will be emailed to our members in January 2009.  If you’re not an ELF member, email us at elf@emergingleaderforum.com to join our mailing list now!
